Restorative Dentistry

Broken, worn, or missing teeth? We rebuild smiles — from a single filling to complete full-mouth rehabilitation.

Choosing a repair

  • Repair a tooth: a filling, inlay or onlay, or crown is selected around the damage and remaining tooth.
  • Treat the inside: root canal treatment may help preserve a tooth with inflamed or infected pulp; a final restoration is still needed.
  • Replace a tooth: compare a bridge, denture, and implant for suitability, treatment stages, daily care, and cost.

What to expect

The Restorative Process
1

Comprehensive Exam

Photos, X-rays, and a clear assessment: what's urgent, what's stable, and what can wait. You see everything we see.

2

A Prioritized Plan

Treatment is sequenced by importance — infection and pain first, foundations second, cosmetics last. You'll know the cost of each step before it happens.

3

Treatment, Phased to Fit

When clinically appropriate, we can phase treatment around your needs and budget, explaining what must be completed promptly and where temporary restorations are needed.

4

Ongoing Care

Regular checkups, home care, and a nightguard when appropriate help protect your teeth and restorations.

An option for preserving a tooth

Root Canals

Root canal treatment can help preserve a tooth. We discuss its prognosis before treatment and explain the restoration it may need. Local anesthetic helps keep care comfortable. Some teeth need more than one visit or specialist care.

Planning treatment and costs

Cost and Phasing

Your insurance may help cover restorative treatment. We’ll review benefits and explain estimated costs and current payment options. Cherry financing is coming soon. Where clinically appropriate, treatment can be phased; urgent care should not be delayed solely to fit an insurance schedule.

Common questions about restorative care

Can old, failing dental work be redone?
Often, but it depends on the condition of the restoration and the tooth underneath. We’ll examine the area and discuss repair, replacement, or other suitable options.
How long do restorations last?
Restorations can last for many years, but their lifespan varies with the material, size, location, bite, and home care. We’ll discuss realistic expectations and check for wear at follow-up visits.
Can badly damaged teeth still be treated?
An exam helps us identify which teeth can be saved and discuss replacement where needed. Options may include All-on-X for suitable patients, but it is not the only approach. We’ll explain options based on your oral health and needs.
