Snap-In Dentures and Fixed All-on-X Teeth

Both options use implants for support. At Highland Dental, our full-arch treatment focuses on fixed All-on-X teeth.

What are snap-in implant dentures?

Implant Dentures, Explained

A snap-in denture clips onto implants for added support and is removed for cleaning and overnight care as instructed. The number of implants depends on the treatment plan. We explain this option here to help you compare it with fixed treatment; we do not provide new snap-in dentures.

For patients seeking teeth that stay in place for daily use, All-on-X is our fixed full-arch option. We assess whether it suits your oral health, goals, and budget.

Snap-in vs. fixed: a side-by-side comparison

Why We Recommend Fixed Teeth
  • Nightly removal. A snap-in denture is removed for cleaning and overnight care. All-on-X stays in place for daily use; your dental team can remove the prosthesis when needed.
  • Cost. Fees depend on the implants, restoration, and additional treatment. Compare written estimates and ongoing maintenance costs rather than assuming the two options cost the same.
  • Feel and function. A snap-in denture has a removable base. All-on-X is fixed for daily use. The feel, support, and cleaning requirements differ, and either option takes some adjustment.
  • Wear and upkeep. Snap-in attachments and the denture may need adjustments or replacement. Fixed full-arch prostheses also need regular maintenance and may need repairs or replacement components.

Our focus is fixed teeth that stay in place for daily use. Learn about All-on-X and its temporary-to-final treatment stages.

Common questions

Is a snap-in denture cheaper than All-on-X?
It can be, but the difference depends on the treatment plan and what each estimate includes. We provide an estimate for fixed All-on-X treatment and explain its maintenance needs so you can compare it with other options.
I already have a snap-in denture. Can you help me?
Contact us for an assessment of your existing denture and implant system. We can explain whether we can provide the care you need and whether fixed All-on-X treatment is an option.
What do you recommend instead?
All-on-X fixed full-arch teeth — our fixed full-arch option. Next-day temporary teeth may be possible for suitable patients, followed by a final prosthesis after healing. We assess suitability before recommending treatment.
